How can you configure 2 sound cards to work at the same time on Windows XP?

I have a built-in SoundMAX sound card which has sound ports in the back and one in the front

I also have a Creative Live! Surround sound card. I want to be able to use them both so I can hook my headphones into the front port liked to the SoundMAX, and use my Creative card for my surround sound.

How can you configure 2 sound cards to work at the same time on Windows XP?
you can't because windows will only allow the use of one audio device ( driver) at a time
Reply:I've done it that way, as long as you use it for different sound configurations, it will be fine.

Such as the PCI card is used for music and such, and the internal is used for playing speech.
