I want to know if anyone who puts a new sound card in notices an improvement with background noise.
Are new sound cards usually quieter than the original sound card integrated with the motherboard?
If you want to eliminate the background noise, you need to get a card that has imputs that are external... you can get a great one at the guitar center
http://www.guitarcenter.com
this store is the best for service, support and knowledge, so if there is a location near you, it's worth going in, rather than shopping on the web.
Reply:it is the same... some of the filter the noise more than others though... you will need a really expensive one in order to fillter noise completelly...
Also, have in mind that the speakers may receive interferences that causes noise... My speakers receive radio transmitions and I can hear them If I plug in my headphones... cool! isnt it? :D
