If i install two sound cards will i have any problems?
Yes you can have onboard sound and another sound card without conflicts. I know because I have my computer set like that. You just need to go to Sounds in control panel and pick which one you want to use. I have a TV tuner

card that requires a cord that will only fit on my onboard sound. My sound card did not have a plug for the cord. So I run the TV tuner off of the motherboard sound and the rest off the sound card. Also you could pick something like using your motherboard for the microphone and the sound card for the outpout.
Reply:yes, disable onboard sound or you will have conflicts in DMA, IRQ and other system settings
Reply:in each program ... you have to pick which one you're using. I'm talking about audio programs though, like fruity loops or something, not just standard things.
Reply:You're going to need to disable one in the bios.
Reply:You will not get any problem by installing two sound card, what you have to do is to follow procedure for installing your new sound card. after installation you will have to choose which sound card to use at controll panel-%26gt; sound and audio device-%26gt;audio
