You can but both cards will play the same thing. You cant listen to a movie on the TV from one sound card and listen to music on the other sound card at the same time.

Also when you want to adjust volume for the other card you will click on the sound volume control on your taskbar and select properties and then select the sound card to be adjusted with the volume control if it is not set as the default.
Reply:I thought they will conflict with each others, but here is what I have , I have sound card built in on the motherboard and I installed sound card, I disabled the one on the motherboard, the mic did not work good on the new sound card I activated both sound cards the sound card for sound the one on the motherboard for mic and every thing is working fine, so try it if it did not work , it did not work.
Reply:yes but you ll have many problems - don t do it - I already tried it - and I took 1 card of
Reply:Ain't gonna work - you will have conflicts.
Reply:The biggest question you will have to address is the issue of conflicting DMA resources. Most sound cards made in the last few years have the DMA channel preselected. If the unused device is turned off in control panel when the other device is being used, I would say you would have a reasonable chance of making it work. Each sound card would have to be allocated its own optical drive if you intend to play CDs or DVDs. Personally, I think the issue would be better handled by selecting a sound card has TV out and has all the features you want, rather than trying to cobble two sound cards together. The system will be buggy at best and a real pain to make work consistently. I am assuming you are using Windows XP, you didn't say.
Reply:i dont think that will work properly
