Sound CARDS????
Sometimes if U do Windows update,,,this can detect the driver itself,,,,
Otherwise GOTO Start%26gt;%26gt;Right Click on My Computer%26gt;%26gt;Properties%26gt;%26gt;Advanced%26gt;%26gt;Device Manager%26gt;%26gt;Click on the (+) Next to Sound Devices...
Or just go into control pannel%26gt;%26gt;Sound devices%26gt;%26gt;and U should see the name of the sound card U have...
Reply:The laptop manufactuer's website should have the driver you need and you should be able to search for it by the model # of your laptop.
Reply:Not really, the best thing to do is go to the manufacturers website and download a new driver for it (If its not already on the system, then I would say you probably upgraded to Vista), and depending on the system, you may not get the sound to work properly anyway, the only ones I know that Vista has REAL problems with is realtec (common onboard sound right now, but unsupported in Vista because they were bought out by another company, and having problems getting it to work properly, only half-a##ed).
Try the website for manufacturer, and pray
Reply:the most common ones are realtek and AC97 vinyl...

or you can press windows key + break.. go into %26gt; hardware %26gt; device manager.. see if it's listed there =)
Reply:You need to search google for your particular laptop model and you should be able to find the specs for the sound card and then just search for drivers.
