I got a second-hand computer. It has no sound card and video card. So I need to get one (mostly from eBay). As I know that different computers need different (pins) of rams. I wonder if similar thing could happen regarding video and sound cards? Like do I have to figure out how many pins, etc when I choose my video and sound cards? Thanks for helping.

if you want to know what kind of Video and sound card you need to buy, you need to go to a computer shop to buy one, maybe you can bring your PC and have them check up what kind of sound and video card might be perfect with your CPU you can even let them do the assembling...
Reply:You can check in the BIOS, usually you can enter in the BIOS by pressing F2 or delete during the POST
The other option is to check the device manager. Right click on My Computer- Properties-Hardware-Device Manager
