You probably wiped your "drivers" too ---

Well --- a easy way , perhaps , would be to go to "Filehippo" download page and download the K-lite pack.

"Realtek AC '97 Audio" will most likely solve your audio problem --- download and install it .

Go into : Control %26gt; Sound %26amp; Audio Devices ----- using the tabs %26gt;look around here at your settings.

If you download "Realtek AC '97 Audio" --- then it will be installed here at this location , as your "default" ~~~~~~ and probably will solve your audio problem.

It's quick and easy --- you might want to give it a try.

P:s ----- While at "Filehippo" ---- why don't you also download "CCleaner" also and use this program first to clean-up your computer and check for "issues". Then do the above downloads.

This is a good little program to use---- I use it everyday myself.
Reply:Surely it's just a case of installing the relevant drivers? I'd start by locating the driver CD that came with your motherboard - that should sort out the C-Media audio.
Reply:You need to reinstall the drivers for both sound cards, found on the disc for those sound cards.
Reply:You need to install the original drivers from the disk that came with the machine.
