I have a sound card in my computer but lost the installation CD. I tried letting windows find a driver for it but that didn't work so I'm stuck.
How can I tell what sound card I have in my computer so I can find the driver for it, as I have lost the CV!?
go to the website of your computers manufacturer. they should have a support section that will contain drivers relevant to your model.
Reply:You can find out what card you have by going into device manager. To get here form my computer click 'view system information'%26gt;then the hardware tab%26gt;then click device manager%26gt;then look for 'Sound, video and game controllers'%26gt; then something like Realtek AC'97 Audio (thats mine) and thats your sound card.
Reply:Download Everest Home edition tells you everything about your Computer, you can even print the document out after it has finished checking your Computer
