Would an external surround sound card be good for my new Logitech Z-5500?

Would an external surround sound card be good for my new Logitech Z-5500.

The problem is that i can only plug in 1 cable at a time it has a green, pink, and black one and each of them work with different sets of speakers so i can only listen to either the front the back or the center set,

so i was wondering if an external sound card has enough holes for the rest of the plugs or should i buy a normal surround sound card...

if so which 1 is a cheap decent 1.

Why are you looking for an external surround sound card? Is that because you are connecting this to a laptop? Give us more info.

The Z-5500 has 3.5mm analog plugs for surround sound, but ideally you would use a coax or optical audio connector. You can't get surround sound from a stereo source. Hence, the reason why you only have one jack.

Internal sound cards cost as low as $20 for a Creative Labs. Go to www.newegg.com and buy one.
