How do I tell what kind of video and sound card I have?

Sims 2 needs DirectX 9.0 sound and Video Card. How can I tell what I have?

How do I tell what kind of video and sound card I have?
go to run and type in dxdiag
Reply:Go to start%26gt;settings%26gt;control panel%26gt;system%26gt;hardware%26gt;device manager. From there you can bring up stats on you computer. Im me if you need help.

Reply:1. Get into "My Computer"..





2. On the left hand side click, "View System Information"





3. Click the "Hardware" tab..





4. Click "Device Manager"..





5. I think the rest should be self explainatory..
Reply:During start-up, you will see a command click Del. Click Del to enter BIOS and you will able to view everything about the motherboard you are using. From temperatures to details of every single component on your motherboard.
Reply:on the desktop right-click 'My Computer' -%26gt; 'Manage' -%26gt; on the left pane choose 'Device Manager' In the right pane there should be a 'Display Adapter' and further down a 'Sound, video and game controller' those should do the trick.
