How do I find out if I have a sound card on a Windows2000 computer?

It's an old old computer and I hear a beep when an uninstall is done, but I can't find where to look for the sound card.

Thanks!

How do I find out if I have a sound card on a Windows2000 computer?
Look on the back of the PC. If it has any 3.5mm jacks (same as on the end of headphones) then it either has a soundcard or has onboard sound, in which case you do not need a sound card.

Plug some speakers into this jack (if there are more than one, its the green one or the one with a picture like this:

Reply:the beeper isnt part of the soundcard ... run type dxdiag in ur start run box and see what it says about ur sound ..
Reply:umm look on device or hardware manager under sound devices, and it should tell you..

right click on my computer, and go to device or hardware manager, (can't remember which on 2000) and it should tell you
